trade in

hey what do u guys think a dealer would give for a 04 ra with 59k miles.
i was wondering cause im starting to like even more the looks of the new lancers.
and ive never owned a brand new car being that im 19.
and the DE's are wat $12k.
dont think im going to do it, and if i would it wouldnt be till at least the end of next winter. and theres no way i could afford the new ra when they come out.

what would u guys do/ what are your thoughts

I'd stick with the RA, a better car imo

keep the ra until you can afford something you're gonna be really happy with (like an evo )

I would say you'd get around $8-$9k on a trade-in.

And when you run KBB or something similar, just know that your car is in fact NOT in excellent condition... Less than 10% of trade-ins will get an excellent trade in price, so go for the next lowest score to know what a dealer will actually give you...

Mine has 27,000 miles, good condition trade-in is $9,860... You are gonna have a little less $ to work with here...

save your money for new RA or evo, either will be better than 08 lancer and worth the wait imo

Even though I like the new body style, I checked out a new lancer inside and out. Its definitely a trade down, not as much as the older 2.0 L lancers but still a trade down nonetheless. Seats are pretty much the same in the new lancer, no manual. Interior isn't that much nicer, in fact, its missing a few of the options that the ralliart has. And lets not forget softer suspension and less horsepower. And I'm going to pay how much more for that? On paper its a horrible deal and I think you'd enjoy the car less.
