Yea GDS, you didnt feel the full power of the car yet until you put the clutch in. All them ponies are slipping away from you with that slipping clutch. That turbo'd motor is tourquey, And back when my stage 1 clutch was slipping, I might have felt 75% of the full potential of power. The best part is holding it in 2nd gear at 3500 rpms. Than step on the gas, build up boost, than let go. Step on the gas, build up boost, than let go. Over and over again, it snaps your neck back and throws your a$$ in the seat. Thats when you feel the power.

OK, I can totally understand and agree that I may have overshot. Let me explain why:

If dan is close to keeping with a turbo R/A, I think either there is something wrong with the turbo R/A or Dan's running stronger than we think, or a mixture of both. The fried clutch explains it. On a mustang dyno I wouldn't expect to see numbers that high either, so my bad, I think I overlooked that. I No offense taken and thanks for keepin me in check Thanks also for the clarification on the exhaust, that makes sense.

I'll put it this way: I wouldn't be surprised to find that those mods for dan give him gains of approx 40-45 hp and about the same tq. Good luck!

The whole "dan keeping up with me" is a very vague reference in being able to compare cars.
We hardly gunned it at all the whole time up there.
Virg kinda made us paranoid..
Theres no telling what kind of numbers the dyno is going to throw up. I cant say that it is all that important to me. I just want to get my car tuned in.

agreed, there is no direct comparison between the two, but is was not like pulling away from a Honda either not sure where it got confused, but there has been no "keeping up" as of yet. never was trying to suggest that the two were evenly matched, and have stated as much in other threads. the car is faster than you think, but slower than a turbo would make it

not much done yet, but it's in learn mode. seems we were a little off base assuming it outputs a frequency, it doesn't seem to register one

haven't talked to her yet, but I did buy some more stuff on ebay last night

they open at 8AM for business, said they would be there earlier but didn't work until 8 close at 5:30pm. no one else is supposed to be using the dyno, so it won't matter who shows up. I told them we would be there around 10.

well, that was pointless. I called them before I ever posted this thread, and then called and confirmed on Thursday (when I posted their hours) and we call them on Saturday to find out how far off the highway they were and... closed. The guy I set the appointment up with, who was obviously not on point with his job, told me Keith (the owner and only guy who runs his dyno) was out playing 18 holes of golf. no dyno runs for us

The good news is, and it was in the middle of the first paragraph in this post that this happened, that I got a phone call from Mr Keith. He told me if I wasn't too pissed he would have us come out for some free dyno time. I am sure Shannon will want to, he was more bummed than I was. Of course, this is kinda how everything goes for me so I am used to it
