EVO wings on RAs?

ok..sure this been asked before..but since i live in virginia i'm not up on street cred rules..lol..what's the general feeling with everyone on putting evo wings on their ra?..part of me wants to because it looks good and i already have the vortex gen but i do not want to be accused of trying to be some half-assed evo wannabe either..i know its a free country blahblah...but i get enough jerks wanting to drag now, all i need is the v8 boys thinking i'm an evo too..well anyway, is it a poser move or do a lot of ra guys do it?...curious on this one...and do u have to drill holes to adapt it to trunk?

check show and shine section, a lot of ppl do it, i think it looks ugly, and i do believe you have to drill extra holes in the trunk for proper fitment.

Its your car do as you want and who gives a crap what others think as long as you are happy with it. Look at us in Canada we can't get the EVO untill the EVO X is released....so we have many RA's with EVO wings here...like mine....

I think it looks ok, but it also screams fast car. that's not really something our car should scream, since it's not a sports car or anything. I am into performance and not looks though, so that's where my opinion is based. I lol at all the giant wing guys, and pretty much think that the evo spoiler is a tiny giant wing, if you get what I mean. it's not outrageous like some of the **** you see, but it is quite a large spoiler for a car that doesn't require one at all.

To me it completely depends...I see the point that it's similar to knock off an evo, but if your purpose is for the look then it's up to you. At the same time if you just want it to look simply put..like an evo, then your a def wannabe and I don't like it. Personally though if you have the wing, you better have the full kit because I think our stock body is still too small for that wing...Maybe that's just me

I have the wing on my car. I for one think it looks great on my car. To me it fits with its natural lines and for its size doesn't look all that big. It does scream performance but I want that look. However, I have also put in a lot of wrench time to improve performance and handling. So for me it just "FITS" the total package I am slowly turning my car into > power + handling + looks =

i was all about making my car look like an evo, but now ive realized how many RA owners are doing that, so i decided to stray away from that look, im actually gonna remove my current stock wing and go wingless, with a carbon trunk from Seibon...i think it will look sick, along with my new HKS carbon Ti exhaust i just baught....

I agree with blue. It's not so much the idea of trying to be an Evo (again, it sucks that we don't have them in Canada - yet). The wing naturally fits the car and I've been dying to put one on. I was really close at the beginning of the summer. Someone from here offered his for 300 shipped from San Diego...but I decided against it at the last minute since I park on the street every night and until I have a private garage, it's just asking to get swiped. I had nightmares that I'd come out one morning to discover a karate chop.

dude if they hate on you, your doing something right cuz some people want some things just for themselves like people that own evo's, so get the wing, get something else that evo's dont have(our sick body kits) and its a completley a different from the evo's, i mean ive seen mustangs with evo body kits civics with'em and i consider them the posers not other mitsu ralliart lancer's. if they made a form for evo's, ralli's, and lancers what is everyone b*tching about. so do what you want and im sure it'll look sick
