Lancer Body Dash Trim Kit - Who has it?

I saw yesterday on ebay those trim kits and I wonder if someone on this forum has it, and if so, is he pleased with the quality? I think that Carbon Fiber or Brushed Aluminium will look interesting on my Lancer. But still don't know if that vinyl it's durable.

hey,
if ur looking for a dash trim like this

then just take it apart and spray it, the vinly will look crap IMO and the other lil trim bits - ie around the air vents and centre console look tacky but each to his own ...

Ok, thanks for the advice. In the picture you posted it's your Lancer? How can I take out that trims from the car.

Taking the trim pieces out is pretty easy. Drop the steering wheel down and then remove the trim piece around the cluster. Remove the climate control buttons, loosen the two screws holding the radio trim on, then pop that off. From there, the left dash trim just snaps out, and for the center trim piece, there's a few screws to remove then it pops out.

A friend of mine bought on of these: http://www.wowtrim.com/store/p/1341-...c-29-Pcs-.html

Looks decent and compared to your ebay kit, the big center air vent piece is in one piece which should look a lot better than being split into 4 pieces.

bingo. Anything project worth doing should be done properly.

Sanded, prepped (taped a lot), cleaned, primed, sanded, painted, clear coated, waxed.
Used duplicolor rattle can from the auto parts store. Gray primer, basic black and clear. Cost probably $20 or so and some time.

I'm likely going to paint mine this summer, as well. I've been thinking a satin charcoal grey.

I was thinking flat black, try to keep it low reflectivity so it doesn't blind me. I think e2l's is the first I have seen black. the main reason I haven't done it is because I didn't know how black would look, so thanks for the pics man
