what's the warranty for 2009 RA?
what's the warranty for 2009 RA?
any people here have inside info on the warranty? GTS is still 10 year drivetrain, the evo is 5 year drivetrain. so what will the RA be? falls right in between...
the problem is the SST. one poster here said that the SST is unserviceable. i'd really hate to buy to car and have the tranny crap out on me after the warranty is up. or if i mod it and the dealer says i voided the warranty and then i'd have to get a new SST...
hopefully the SST is strong enough to take modding, hopefully the SST is serviceable if not by mitsu then by some aftermarket company like HPA for DSG's, and hopefully the warranty is 10 years.
that's a lot of hoping

Either way, you gotta pay to play.... And you know how reliable to EVO's warranty is... If you are worried about the tranny blowing up and not being affordable to repair/replace, don't mod it...
yeah, they said the same thing about the CVT. Not that it will blow but its better to know what options you have incase it does...outside the warranty anyway. Would hate to have the belt break just outside the 10 years and then hear the whole farking thing has to be replaced.
SST is servicable. It's just a glorified manual. You can still upgrade the gears and clutches. CVTs are not servicable.
Think about it, even Mitsu wouldn't be stupid enough to put a non-servicable transmission into an Evo
I'm skeptical if Ralliart owners would be fortunate enough to get the 10/100,000 treatment. It's possible, but I think the 5/60,000 is more likely.

dunno bout the delay but... we just got the parts list and stuff into our dealership 2day... great thing for us about the dsg tranny, is it cant be serviced if you break a part on it or in it... so for everyone who buys an mr, dont break ANYTHING IN OR ON THE TRANNY... you can ONLY replace it according to our tech bulletins.... 8600.00$ for anyone who cares

hmmm... wonder how much a used dsg would go for...
warrenty is the last thing on my mind. IF i buy the new RA i know im gonna upgrade a lot of things on that car and im not the type of person to take off every mod b/c my windshield wipers dont work.

You may be right on the
CVT's... I know that the Honda CVT's are not serviceable (other than the recommended D&R every 30K) at the dealership anymore, but thats just a $$ thing as its cheaper to send it out for rebuild than to do it in house anymore... We used to rebuild the CVT, but it was not cost effective compared to buying a Factory Reman...
