dunno bout the delay but... we just got the parts list and stuff into our dealership 2day... great thing for us about the dsg tranny, is it cant be serviced if you break a part on it or in it... so for everyone who buys an mr, dont break ANYTHING IN OR ON THE TRANNY... you can ONLY replace it according to our tech bulletins.... 8600.00$ for anyone who cares

BAD NEWS is that there are 3 asterixes next to the MSRP with explanation on the bottom that says Suggested Retail. Dealer is free to establish his/her own mark-ups or margins. But it was a known from the beginning that those cars are gonna be marked up (see also GT-R) from the beginning so no surprise there. Good news for me is that I have a friend who is the manager at my local Mitsu dealer so I'll get that car at the MSRP or even a bit lower Now, should I wait for MR or go with GSR, ahhh life is all about tough choices Anyway, this is good news. Looks like Evo still will be the best all-around performance car bang for the buck.
Great Stealerships will probably put another $6K mark-up on that MSRP.

The question is why they didn't do the same or more like the IX GSR

Offering less options and puting a bigger price tag is really why am a bit disappointing .... I still love the car but Mitsubishi could take a big part of the market if they had done such a thing.

So Im still confused , probably I'll wait a bit, maybe for the XI or buy an IX if they could be legal in MAY ( rumor )

base IX gsr was 32,024$ if I remember correctly, the new one is 32,999. 1000$ more for a new model change isnt bad at all.

In 03/04 people were getting BRAND NEW evos with hid's and a sunroof for under 30k!!!! they went up to 32k for base models by 06 and the cars barely changed compared to how much it changed now

Can't wait to have MSRP for Canada....there's still hope...at 33k in the US, I guess we might have it for under 40k (anyway they'll have to do something with the too pricy cars in canada cuz if the bumper law change this summer) guess where most canadians will go buy their X...

Looks like the STI is going to be ~$46k Canadian, so don't count on the Evo being much different. From what came out today, it may only be available with NAV and the BBS though.

^Wait. Wait ... I'll pretend to be one of the new X guys: "Huh, CT9A? What's that?"

Sorry. Bit out of it now. Wanted to poke some fun at the X brethren.

ya know, not all new X owners will be new to the game. I've been poking around in 4g's for about 7 years now. Time to EVOLVE...
