it's funny no one mentions the .99 lat G it pulls compared to the IX's .94

Can't wait, finally going to get this in Canada.
I know we are only to get 500 here, my Mitsu dealer told me that it will come in less then the new STI. But rumor has it that we will still pay around 48K.

We should see it here early spring.

I know my dealership was only asking $4000 deposit.

Because no one really cares. You may as well compare the number of factory speakers.

Since the X has wider tires than the VIII and IX from the factory, that can most certainly account for some of the difference.

Also, the people that *would* care about those numbers already have wider wheel/tire combinations, if not a fully tuned suspension.

LOL, even with the best/widest tires Evo VIII/IX can't do 0.99 lateral Gs (Evo X was mentioned in the same sentence as Ferrari F430 when it comes to handling in Car And Driver review, obviously it made such an impression that they cared and took notice).

The way I look at Evo X vs Evo VIII/IX is that Evo X is a more refined car (offering better options than any other Evos to date) with better handling where power can always be added later on. It's a lot easier to modify the engine than it is to upgrade the whole chassis/AWD system to make the car handle better. Evo X with the same set of tires as Evo VIII/IX will handle better. And since you don't care about Evos handling why did you buy this car in the first place? I bet you are just another 0-60 drag racing fan boy in which case you should have bought a Mustang or a Charger in the first place because you don't understand Evo philosophy.

Because I could.

Oddly enough, it's the same reason I mock the X.

at nearly $40K for the MR, they priced themself out of the market, for me at least...

i can get alot of cars for that price, and Mitsu fit and finish isn't worth that kinda of jack...

Skidpads, lateral gs and the math behind them

Just in case anyone wants to see how many g's they can pull, the above link will tell you how.

so you figure the MR will be about 37k, with all the packages itll be just under what.. 43k? maybe more? which is in the class with a top of the line fully equiped G37 which is $45k... which would you buy?

I honestly still think the MR has more toys but....

Are you kidding me? the 335xi is a 6cylinder twin turbo'd with absolutely no power to show for it. Twin Turbo'd viper? now that is twin turbo with power to show

I would honestly say, if i could get the luxury of the BMW interior with the power and sport of the evo, id be in heaven, but i want a car for power and sport, not to tickle my butt when i sit in it and make me feel all comfy.

Wow, that's good pricing ... especially considering the weak US dollar. Can't wait to test drive one of these bad boys.
