Pulse Star Plugs
me neither, except that he needs to post pics of the offending plugs if he's claiming they f'ed his head up. that's very far from what I was considering for possible outcomes, unless of course the plugs melted and caused a little preignition
I was tempted to play with the idea earlier and give it a go but the price tag was a bit discouraging. more recently I have been pushed by some to test it during the local dyno day next month. If I recieve enough donated funds by April first, we will be able to solve the mystery one way or the other. Currently $35 / $112
I have been speaking with a company rep. and I will be formally evaluating these plugs extensively on the 2.0L Lancer 08. and Assuming Mitsu HQ goes along with it, on the EVO X.
More details as they come, if you donated, you will get a refund. cheers and thanks for the support

What about these? E3? What has anyone heard of these?

Don't mean to highjack this thread.

When shopping for spark plugs, there's a very simple principle to remember - electricity ALWAYS takes the path of least resistance. Doesn't matter how many prongs a plug has, whether it be a splitfire, E3, or Bosch +4, there is only one spark going to one prong every time it fires. It's just a gimmick.
I would say that for most plug situations, as a user of the Bosch plugs I never had a problem with them, and only made the switch to them for their long service life, not for performance.
DSPORT Mag seems to think these might be worth a woot or two in their 2008 march review.

the only things that i would be really worried about is if it might some how mess up a coil pack that would suck i have not read anything on them being used with Direct ignitions, maby that also matters in the performance of the pluge in this case.

And by adding more pathways, you systematically reduce resistance towards the overall circuit.
Just thought i'd correct that for you.
I installed a set of these Pulsar plugs in my Evo IX last weekend. If you have a IX the cost for stock plugs vs the Pulsar's are comparable. I am running meth 50/50 and had them gapped at 0.22. I have had no issues and idle is much smoother since installing these plugs (would have idle'd better with stock plugs since the old one's needed changing). I have no idea if I am gaining any HP & TQ using these plugs. Recently Import tuner tested a set on a 4g63 and found like 6hp and torque. So I guess it really depends if you trust magazine reviews or not, right?
You might take a look at this thread and get those plugs out of your car quickly.

i've been running the pulse stars for a good 6 to 8 months never had any problem with them at all.. i can't say there was a horsepower increase or not cause i did a buncha stuff all at once, changed the plugs, changed to synthetic oil (amsoil) thanks to u guys i'm 5000 deep into my 25,000 mile oil, and put on the cold air intake... but it feels like it runs better all around... i read a few storys on the plugs they said there not good for cars with turbos cause they burn way too hot but i don't remember where i saw it or what the tech info is behind that
