muffler tip

sup guys!

well im new to the forum and i just bought a 04 lancer ralliart for 11,500 with 33,567 miles on it. I really like the car cuz its different and drives really good, and the car was a good price. I notice that on some years that the ralliart comes with a good looking chrome exhaust tip but unfortunatly mine didnt come with one and was wondering if you can get one at a mitsubishi dealer ship?

thanks
cool site!

Yeah, you should be able to order that from the dealership, it was an optional accessory. Welcome to the forums, too.

Those are all dealer options, though I don't think they make the mesh grille anymore. They set the price way too high, didn't sell any of them, and ended up giving them away at MOD a couple years ago.

you can go to the mitsu website and they have a few things for the 04-06 ralliart...lots on here go to road race motorsports web too...i originally got a magnaflo tip from my local muffler shop..then later decide to get the whole magnaflo muffler...it sounds good..i thinks it #14829 or something...at my mitsu dealer the mesh grille was like 230.00 or something..lol..for plastic..so i decided to keep the stock grille..now every tuner has mesh and i'm different..good hunting.

Go to pep boy's for the muffler tip. I got a stainless steel one there for about $15. It was 3 or 3.5 in. Looks great and I have had it on for over two years. Up close you can't even tell it is a tip and the length is perfect on the Ralliart.

wish i could see a picture to get an idea as to how it will look. Im not to fond on kragens- pep boys products being that they are cheap, i like to get oem stuff just so i know it will look right, thats just me tho but ill probably still check it out.
I use to have 2 civics so im use to that clean jdm look.

I will post up picks later tonight if you want. I am very picky about parts I put on my car and this really looks great. Not cheap at all. It is solid stainless, has not discolored and looks nothing like the cheap muffler tips you see on most cars. Almost everyone that sees it just assumes it is a new muffler. IMO it looks way better than the tip you can get from mitsubishi. Let me know if you want me to post some pics.

This is a thread of a drive I did last year. It is the only picture I currently had on my computer that showed the exhaust tip. It is not a straight shot but should give you a good idea.
