wrong!!!!...yes u can use AEM's EVO IX's plug and play unit...it just plugs and plays but keeps the checkenginelight on...I saw it here in PR and the guy was giving 700+ HP numbers...he was on turbo don't know if it would work as easy on NA...

BS. point blank BS. you got anything to back that up?

ECU is so drastically different I will pretty much put my word on it that you can't even come close to using this as plug and play. not to mention the fact that you'd be completely starting from scratch since every sensor between the IX and RA are different.

where you saw this, but until you come back with some proof I'm calling BS.

Not possible for the plug and play to work, especially not as plug and play. Evo IX ECU has 4 plugs, ours has 5. If you hand spliced everything, the only way I could see it possibly working would involve either eliminating the MAF or converting to something easier to deal with, like a GM one.

if the plug and play AEM unit worked then every RA guy here would probably use it(i assume) since theres really nothing else available for the RA.

It's very expensive and next to nobody in the RA world is modified enough to need something beyond what's commonly available.

Now, we have seen an AEM unit on a Ralliart before, TurboTechPR was running it on his 500hp Ralliart. I'm pretty sure he eliminated the MAF, though, and probably tweaked some other sensers. Certainly wasn't plug 'n play, though.

thanks otter for further explaining, i didnt think you could eliminate the MAF, ive just heard that you can get a bigger one(this is with other cars) im not sure if the same applies to teh RA since its a tuning nightmare.

the best solution for this cars, would be talk with HYDRA guys, they can make one of their EMS to work, plug and play on this cars.

I talk with them via email, and they tell me that they can, but I dont need a EMS on my STOCK RA, so, I did nothing, I think I post this like 6 months -to 1 year ago, and nobody seems to care about (I THINK, im not sure)

I Do know, HYDRA can make it, we just need to talk with them and show some interest.

Here In PR, the Hyundai Tiburon Comunity talk with a local HYDRA seller , and the guy talk directly to Hydra, and they make a EMS for the Tiburon, and the car have a lot of whp (400 something, almost 500 if Im not wrong) Turbo offcourse.

this is on your hands!

^^ hydra is a very very very good option
but is expensive as hell.. all they need is a pinout of the ecu and a tail harness so they can make the plugs

YEAH
THAT

and yes, its very very expensive, hehehe, like AEM EMS maybe a little more

But with a EMS you can do whatever you want. And if we compare the avaible Piggybacks for this cars that can only change FUEL and cost around 500, 3 times that for a compleate tunnable thing its not that bad.
