I got mine in the original batch Joe made back in August of 05' or was it 04'. Either way I've put 50k miles on mine with no problem. Long as you are willing to deal with the headlights dimming slightly you will be very pleasantly pleased.

Just wondering how many of you with the UDP also run HID's? Also is there much dim in those. I would assume it would put undue stress on the ballast, but the ballast should keep the voltage to the bulbs as constant as possible, much like the ballast in a fluorescent bulb. Any thoughts on the UDP and HID's?

I have HIDs and that dimming problem doesnt happen, as they have their own sustaining system kind off, basically they dont "dim" iuf they dont get enough power they just shut off

ITT, 72,000 miles on that damn pulley, belt only squeaked once in a HEAVY rain, totally understandable. It is a dream, the car loves it...and I constantly beat the hell out of the car. Very RELIABLE mod, and noticeable too

I was about to order one last night, but shipping to Canada was $36. I'll probably still have to pay duty on top of that, so I have to hold off for a few weeks.

should have bought it anyway, you don't have to pay duties until it crosses the border right?

Wouldn't the belt slip occasionally and render this feature useless?

I don't think there is much validity to that statement sir.
The stock has the mark, and i cant see why it would slip any less.

The mark on the pulley has nothing to do with the belt. Serp belts don't rely on position like timing belts, they merely exist to drive things, not keep them aligned.

Hey just a quick question. I'm a pretty big noob when it comes to cars. I recently got my UDP and I was wondering how hard it is for someone who knows next to nothing about engines. Reading the instructions it looks pretty straight forward so I'm guessing I'll be able to do it myself but I just wanted to make sure.
