The only hard part I found was trying to remember how to put back the splash guards since I didnt take photos of them beforehand. Even then, I just looked at the other side of the car and tried to put them in the best possible manner. Took no more than 1 hour (being my first mod for any car).

Thanks for the tips guys. I installed it this afternoon. Yeah like you said, the splash guard was definitely the toughest/most time consuming part of the job. Only other thing that took awhile was I didn't have the 1/2" extension for the tensioner. I had to wait for my neighbour to get home to borrow one.

Well the belt is just included in the cost. It was a duralast (I think?) brand belt that you could pick up at any auto store.

Sorry for bumping up the topic.

I remember reading somewhere that a user on EvoM wrote that the UDP gave him better gas millage. Any of you with UDP can comment on this ? I'm thinking about getting the UDP and better gas millage could be a very good point of getting one. Still, I guess it wouldn't be a lot more...but still

Thanks !

If it does improve gas mileage, it's not going to be by any amount that you're going to notice.

ok, now the opposite. Does the UDP lower gas millage ? I'm not a mechanic and so I don't understand everything around what the UDP does really to the engine to gain power and torque.

Sorry for stupids questions

No, it will not lower mileage. The UDP doesn't gain and hp/torque, all it does is reduce the rotational mass of the engine, which allows it to rev up/down more quickly.
