UDP longevity?

ok has everyone had a good experience with their under pulleys?..how long can i expect it to last etc?..i mean since its a mod part does that make it inferior?..just curious..what can happen to one anyway?..can it break after 50k miles or something?..i just think if mitsu wanted a lightweight one on they would have made it etc..who has had theirs the longest?

I probably have the most, around 90,000 miles, on mine, no issues. It's still in perfect shape.

I had it for about 30,000 miles..... the belt slips when I first start the car up on a wet day. But after half a second it stops. Never did that until recently.

I just changed my plugs last weekend, at 95,100 miles. The ground strap was noticeably eroded, but the electrode in the center still looked good. Needless to say, I was amazed they lasted so long, and replaced them with the same thing: NGK LZFR6AI.

the only negative was the removal of the harmonic damper. this was considered negligible for the RA. research will explain this further. aside from that, lighter weight items usually cause less wear on the engine.

I have had my on for about 45k, no problems except when it gets wet. I will be fixing that problem soon though. It will slip but goes away after a few seconds once belt dries off. Good as the day I bought it and I wouldnt worry about it at all.

hm... water gets on my belt but i'm stock and it just squeals for a bit. No slippage yet, you think it could be a stretching belt or something?

Some of the original belts RRM used slipped and squealed after a couple of months, but it was a negligible number. I personally have had nothing but fun times with mine!

The squealing is what happens when a belt is slipping, that is why when you buy belt dressing at a auto parts store that crap is sticky lol.

The belt slips on this pulley becuase of what it is made out of and also less surface area for the pulley to grab onto the belt with. No biggy as I had had no problems with my pulley what sooo ever. Also while I have had it I have gone from OKC, OK. to Palm springs california and back also to Las Vegas and also to IL.. Soooo a lot of road and highway time put on it sooooo its not going to fail lol. I do drive hard sometimes also, and yet nothing. VERY WELL DESIGNED and THOUGHT THREW and WELL WORHT THE MONEY!!!!

My belt is finally beginning to squeal a bit under certain conditions. I'll think about replacing it more as it begins to annoy me more.
