Tires are critical for a low ET. Most guys overlook it because of financial reasons or just don't think it matters.

With my set up you can use anywhere there is no smog laws. I am currently getting my smog lisence and california is very strict. I used to drive it on the streets but now i drive my 00 Chevy Silverado k2500. Basically my tow vehicle. I like using the power steering. Doesn't hurt to have it.

I am sure Steve is going to be the first in the 12s too!
Young RA guys should pay attention to guys like him who really do it and not just dull out advice on this board. Next guy to advise you....... ask him how fast his RA is first before believing him/her.

It would if I run as just as good as that run. I have been adding to the car to make it deep into the 12's. I will try to be the first but things happen and i work alot so the RA isn't getting together as fast as i would like.

Had a few issues with the break in period. Sounds like a broke a rod or something. Was running great then jumped on it alittle bit after about 1k of breakin and then boom. All hell broke loose. I haven't gotten to tear down the engine yet. There is no oil or anything in the exhaust and also no coolant so i know it isn't my head. I will keep you updated. I am going to try and make it down there soon to try and get that Engine from you so i can build my race engine. Tried to call but you are one hard person to get ahold of. Talk with ya later.

true my bad. I put 10.5:1 pistons in my RA. I have 90k on the car and it didn't like the higher combustion temp. Broke something. I will find it sooner or later whenever i can tear it down. I have had the RRM products on my car for the life of the vehicle. Didn't happen until i installed these new pistons. I should of just done all new bearings and everything. But I was trying to get at least 1 pass with the new pistons. Shows what can happen if you short cut it. Keep you all updated when i get my other engine.

Correct me if i'm wrong... but R/T's do not get added into your time.

Now if you're thinking of the 60' or "launch period" a drop in that will have significant advantages. It's all about the hook...
