Opinion needed! Planning on painting my stock rims this weekend!
oh man, wut a day! i am finally done! i just finished up putting the clear coat on my last 2 wheels. around 12am im gonna go put them back on my car and let it sit for like a whole day. hopefully i dont have to work on monday so i can let it sit longer, but i doubt that, haha. i'd say the last 2 wheels came out nice. I was very close in doing my wheels graphite grey, but i didnt think it was worth all my time and money to bascially make my wheels a few shades darker, haha. my other obvious choice wouldve been black or gold. but im liking the bronze! im hoping the paint will stick for a long time! def. spent a good amount of money on this project. my index finger needs some rest now... but yeah. i would just like to make a few helpful tips for other people who might want to try this at home!
yeah she is really fobby! sigh, i think i MIGHT have to repaint the first 2 wheels becuz I sucked at them. byt the time i did my last 2, i was close to a pro, haha. we'll see though, it was a lot of work!
oh yeah, but overall, they look great!

haha ok. i happent o have today off, so im gonna redo 2 of the wheels, the ones on the right side. I might also repaint my calipers becuz they are starting to chip. but yeah, as i said, i like them better than stock, imma just make the ones i messsed up look better though.

From what I can tell it looks great! When you finish the other two you should roll it into the sun and take some glamor shots, lol.
I'm thinking about painting my brake calipers a nice red, I have paint that I used on the calipers of my Mustang so I'm pretty sure it'll work just as well on my calipers, here's some shots of my Mustang's caliper:

When you painted yours did you have to take the whole caliper off or did you just do some crazy masking? With the Mustang it was easy because the brakes weren't hooked up, just parts lying on the ground waiting to be reassembled.

haha i will repaint 2 of them later today, im kinda tired now, i might take a nap. my friend is coming up later, he wants me to help him with his scion tc rims, haha. as for the calipers, my friend did them for me, haha. I was there to "help" in other words "watch" becuz i was very untalented at the time, but we did not take the calipers off. He cleaned them really good too and painted very carefully without masking it, haha. it came out very nice, but its been about 2 years right now and they are starting to chip a bit. i will try to take better pictures somehow... err hem jon... but for right now im gonna stick to the voyager. oh and im also gonna paint over that fake carbon fiber with a gloss black, hopefully it'll come out alright
