Exclamation windsheild wiper question

due to the hurricane in FL, we've been gettin a lot of rain in the south, and i've noticed that my windshield wipers are pretty slow on their 'fast' setting'. im not sure if my motor is burning out or if the ralliart has really slow wipers. and if i could change the motor and make it go faster, who would sell those motors? thanks everyone.

I don't think I've ever seen a "high power" wiper motor. I would think that, once you hit a certain speed, you risk the wiper arm/blades coming apart and flying everywhere.

You should make a quick video of your wipers on high speed and a few people can compare them to their lancer to see if yours is slow or if you just need to move to a dryer area.

well actually, where i live, we've been having such a severe drought, that our main water source (lake lanier) started drying up.

As far as a video goes, i don't have the best camcorder (it doesn't have any usb or computer ports), so i'll have to use someones camera phone.

But for a comparison, i've seen lexus and audi have much faster wipers. My 13 year old bmw also had faster wipers, but i'll try and upload a vid to utube as soon as possible.

Maybe count the cycles for 10 seconds and post that number.
