Question wiper arm switch

when i switch from full/slow to delay (slow or high), my wipers stay in the full slow mode. is this a common problem? does anyone else have a similar problem?

The fastest delay setting is actually the same as full/slow if you are moving faster than about 40 mph. One of the coolest features Karlen told me about on our Lancers. The fastest delay setting actually adjusts its speed according to your driving speed!

it is raining to day so i had a chance to check this out.........

while the intermittent setting was in low, but the switch arm itself was in normal everything fine

when i switched it to the intermittent Low setting it stayed in the normal mode until I tapped on the end of the arm.

is this switch defective?

sounds like it is then. Sorry, best to have it checked out now, while the warranty is still good.
