Sportback Rear Wiper

As if the Sportback wasn't unique enough, especially the LS model I have, I am having quite a problem locating rear wiper refills for it. I know I bought some twelve inch refills at one of the parts chains but I can't find them now.

For those unfamiliar, the Sportbacks rear wiper isn't like the front wipers, where you can replace the entire blade. The wiper arm is all one piece plastic and also holds the wiper blade. There is no way to just replace the blade, since it attaches permanently to the wiper arm.

And all the Wiper manufacturers seem to think it's the same set-up as the Evo, which takes a 17" blade and is conventionally mounted.

Any other Sportback owners have any suggestions?

I have 60,000 miles on the car, 30k on this rear wiper alone. In my experience, wiper blades are pretty much done for after 15k here in W. Penn.

Goto a parts store and ask for a 12" wiper rubber refill, dont see why that wouldent work?

Or just buy a 12" wiper and take the rubber.

At my shop we have Anco blades, I know they sell refills for those, I'm not sure if other blades have a different way to hold the rubber in it or if its the same set up? I've only ever dealt with one brand Find the closes to match and rig it up =P?

Yeah, that's what I've been trying to do, find a 12" blade or refill. They are tough to find! I've looked at Pep Boys and Advanced, I'm going to try Autozone and then NAPA. I was just looking to see if anyone else knows where I can find them readily. (besides the dealer)

I know the goodyear I used to work at stocks 12 inche blades(ALOT), try going to a Goodyear/Gemini garage if there are any near you, they'll sell you just the part.

There's a few in Pittsburgh. Mine is a black LS, someone in Greentree has a silver Ralliart Sportback, I saw a red Ralliart a few days ago and one white LS Sportback.

There aren't many of us.
