Unhappy poor mpg only17-18mpg on 04 RA really need help

Hello, my 04 ralliart is only giving me about 18-19 mpg, I took it to the dealership last week to have this problem look at and they reccomended to go back to the oem air box, the car currently has an injen cold air intake. Is there anybody that may have had these problem before, I would reallly appreciate your help with these problem, I mean is really frustating to see my ralliart, give the same mpg than my 03 evo, when is supposed to give around 22-24mpg in the city. I really need help, or if anybody out there is selling an oem airbox for the ralliart please let me know. Thanx a lot.

hmmm 18-19mpg for city miles that sounds like my car and i thought it was normal

sometimes i might get 20-21 but thats because i have to have some mix high way miles on there and i have rrm sri, if anything i noticed a very small increase in mileage after have the sri installed and udp

i believe that the rating they give you for the mileage is always rounded up but theres a fine print under it usually on the paper on the car when you go to a dealership that says most drivers will get this to that.

but yeah i dont really think its a problem but you can switch back if you want i guess.

I've always got between 21-24 depending on how hard I drove. Breaking 300 miles on a tank was a rare occurence. I installed RRM's SRI a couple of weeks ago and I've been easily getting 310-330 mpg on every tank. Not sure why it's happening but it's the truth.

This isn't the for sale section, and your mileage issue isn't due to the intake. It's either how you drive or where you drive.
