fusible link

hey gots the 04 lancer ralliart, but ihave a question. is there anything stopping me from removing the stock battery positive terminal with that fuse link thing and replacing it with a regular terminal with a wire going into a 120 amp fuse then out? i want to replace that battery with a optima and then run another battery off in the trunk and i don't want that gaudy looking thing up there. by the way the car aint in warrenty i just didn't know if there was a circuit board or something in there preventing removal.

It's only there for safety and protecting the car's electrical system. Everything should still work without it.
