i had the same problem but i didnt have HIDs in. i ended up having to replace the "pigtail" because the wiring started to melt to the headlight bulb. the dealer wouldnt replace it under warrenty and wanted about 150-200 dollars to fix . so i just bought the part and replaced it myself for 10 dollars. dont know if thats any help just just giving you my experience.

im thinking its some of the wires, on my HID kit both headlights would shut off and i moved around the wires and the problem was at the harness connecter to the headlight bulb connector. I just had to put it at a spot to were it wouldnt get any movement.
my buddy had this same issue also with his kit. Some of these HID kits have crappy wiring jobs

hey heartgram, i think i had a similar problem. I needed to buy a new HID bulb, that fixed the problem... my burnt out bulb would work randomly, but then eventually it just died completely so i had to order some new ones immediately. If you got them from www.xenonlink.com they offer a warranty, but i think its a hassle to do. if you have the patience, then go for it. hope my input helps
