Hello all,

Wondering what you guys think would be better to go with first?

Thanks for the help

The UDP is way cheaper than the Timing Box. I think the UDP is more worth it. + the Timing Box requires 89 octane or more if I'm right.

But the timing box takes 2 minutes to install ...

I have the UDP, and it was worth every penny.

i dont like the added wear and tear to the engine, but would love the power.

okay guys the OP was just asking for advice on one of 2 items on which to buy... didnt say anything about doing FI....

I'd go with the UDP first because it is a very good part for the amount you pay for it. You also don't need to upgrade your gas to 89 octane that it needs unless you run that amount already.

I would go with the UDP. As far as the butt dyno was concerned it was the best "bang for the buck" of all the mods Ive done so far.

OK guys,

Everybody seems to be leading to the UDP. Thats what I figured,
but wanted to hear from the professionals.

So, I will ge getting the UDP and sway bar for handling. After that do I go with the timing box or piggy?

Also I am thinking of getting a lightweight flywheel and possible a new camshaft.
I am trying to get the best bang for the buck so any suggestions would be most appreciated.

I am trying to keep this simple so no FI and I dont want my car to sound like it has a V8, so no headers or exhaust.

Thanks Guys.

you wont sound like a v8 with an exhasut and headers, youll just sound like a really loud 4cylinder hahaha you should also consider getting either a CAI or an SRI...that was my first mod my butt dyno felt alot of gains, probably wasnt much but the throttle felt much more responsive...i went with Injen cause there CAI can convert into a SRI to spare your motor from those wet days

Yeah an intake would be a good next step. I've got a DIY short ram on mine right now, it sounds nice but not much in terms of gains. That's why I've got an Injen CAI on the way now. The RRM timing box would probably be your best bet to get before the piggyback. The base tune on the piggy is set up for intake, heder, and exhaust if I remember correctly.
+1 on the loud 4 cylinder sound with headers... I'm redoing my exhaust and only have the OBX headers and midpipe on right now. God its loud... Here's a link to a video of it:

If you're worried about loudness you can always weld in a HF Cat...

Yeah I've got one to be welded in from RRM. Just waiting for my new muffler to come in to have it all put together.

Hello guys,

I guess I should have mentioned that I all ready have the RRM SRI on the car.

I thought about the High flow cat but have talked to people who say that its pretty much a waist on such a small engine. They have said looking at 1-2 HP
with just a new cat, so that is low on the list.

I know that trying to increase the power with out increasing the db's is tricky. I don't want the car to be a cop magnet though.

What do you guys think about the Cam or lightweight flywheel?
They seem to be similar in price, which one is cheaper to have installed?

Thanks for the help.
