Oil light

Hey,my oil light comes on while at idle, when it first comes on, it flickers then stays on, until I give it gas then it turns off.Yes my oil is full, for 04 it still doesn't burn any oil.I wounder if its the oil pick up not working at idle.Any ideas would be great.Yes I should take it into the dealership, which I will do next week, but it seems to be running fine, its kinda scary seeing your oil light come on.

Searching the forum will bring up a couple of results:

are your symptoms similar to the above?
start with the pressure sensor provided that there's plenty oil in the car, new filter (to make sure the old one isnt clogged), etc..
check the oil pressure as per the service manual.

Might be easier to just bring it to the dealer. Should be covered under warranty.

more than likely the oil pressure sending units, check there first before anything else i believe its a common problem and somewhat cheap fix. Mines been doing that for a year I am pretty sure its the sensor because if its not i am SOL....
