Unhappy Problems with short ram HELP

well i buy a filter for an ralliart 2006 and i just did what i need to do to make it fit the ralliart
i buy an adapter that can fit the maf sensor and it justs fits well

the filter is an spectre and it seems to be the best in the store were i live

the problem is the next

i disconnect the battery like 30 min
then i connect it and start the engine

it all going well but then the engine start like lowering the rpm to 500 and then get up and seems that the car wants to turn off
i just see other posts and they say that the car needs to be driven like 10 miles so the sensor can asimilate more air than usually
i did it and it doesnt works ....
when i acelerate the engine makes a sound like it starts to jingle i dunno is thats the word but it makes a sound just like it needs more air

the car power is gone :s i can acelerate the max and the car doesnt make the job its just doesnt acelerate

i check that the maf sensor doesnt moves and it doesnt have air filtering i dunno what to do :s

here are some pics

i dunno guys if some one can help me

thanks

Three things come to mind:

1 does the filter actually allow air to flow through it?

2 maybe the maf adapter is too big?

3 do proper ecu relearning procedure of letting idle for 15 min then drive the car for another 10 keeping it under 3.5k rpm

i think the adapter for the maf sensor is too big

in the original cage the hole is 2.5
and the adapter is 2.8-2.9
does that affects?

I think that may be too big. If you can try and find a 2.5 adapter.

Yeah, that should work. I used the stock MAF tube on my home made short ram for nearly a year before I got a CAI and I never had any problems with it.
