What this tube for?

What this tube for?

Can someone tell me what this tube is for? It is located beside the battery shield and has oily gunk on it.

Thanks in advance!

*** it's the tube that says "1B" on the top. You can see that the tube goes into the tranny above the ATF stick.

if u could take the airbox out and take a better picture maybe we can help u cuz i cant really see the tube :s

There's no need to remove anything.

It is really easy to see and it's probably in your car as well.

Probably. I don't recall any tube being there, so I'd imagine it's an airbox part.

actually, the tube connects into the transmission. I have an automatic so not sure if you manual guys have it too.

Ok I could be way off here but I cant look at my car cause its buried in a foot of snow haha, but you say you have an auto, and I personally never looked at an auto RA but I do know that autos have dipsticks for the trans, and its hard to tell in the picture, also dont know where that would be anyway, so its just a guess lol

I *think* it might be something to bleed the transmission... Not sure but I'll ask the guy that did my rebuild last week.

most likely a vent for the automatic transaxle.
