New Shocks

Wow, haven't posted here in a while! I need new shocks all around for my ralli! What should I go with? I'm not racing it or anything, but I want a decent set thats going to give me a smooth ride. My car is a bit lowered as it is. Could I go into pep boys or something, and have them give me a good pair, or should I order them online? Some suggestions would be helpful!

What mileage is everyone replacing their shocks at? When do they usually go out and when does maintenance call for replacement? lol
Too many questions!

i did my fronts at 90,000 and my rears at 92,000. I'm currently at 95,000 miles. I think mine went bad awhile ago, because there is a definite difference in smoothness while driving. And i'm not too sure, but I think 100,000 miles is probably the longest you should wait.. don't quote me though

Just do them as you need them. Once one goes, the rest are likely to follow, so just replace all 4.

whats the best way to test if your shocks or struts are bad? ive read some truck forums saying they just hop on one side near the tire and udge the number of bounces. is there a way to do this with the RA? or at least some visual inspection? where im stationed at now the roads are freaking terrible!!! like the roads in Afghanistan are better then here, so its hard to tell if my suspention is blown or just the road that time forgot making my car ride crappy.

Well the crappy roads are going to wear them out faster anyway and if you think they're bad they probably are. I have to replace mine , Miami roads are barely a step up from a gravel road.

my ra is at 122k now and ever since i bought the car at about 86k i knew they were blown. the cheapest place ive seen to get the kyb struts is performacepeddler.com where u can get the fronts for about $90 and the rears for about $72. thats not including s&h tho but it shouldnt be much more then about $400 for all 4...

im in the process of saving up rt now to get all 4 and a set of strut mounts as well for the 4...and maybe a set of springs....

ps: anybody else have a problem w/ their ra sagging on one side more than the other. i know i have my rf and lr struts leaking and im def. sure the other 2 are out the door also but the lr fender is much lower on the tire than the rr, and the 2 rears in general are much lower than the fronts...plus it pulls like crazy on the e-way to the left...im assuming its the springs starting to sag.... but i dont have much money and i dont wanna spend the $400 on struts, plus the mounts....plus a set of springs and still have it sag like that after.... any words of advice..? anythign else should be checked..?
