(this is coming from a post i made in the skid plate thread made in the wheel/tire/brake/suspension forum)

hey guys i talked to the guy at Thompson Racing Fabrication. he told me he just made a skid plate for a ralliart a little while back and he kept the template.
here is the info he wanted me to pass along.

"I did just make a skid plate for a Early Lancer Ralliart. I could sell subsequent skid plates, as I kept the original template used to make the plate. I had not anticipated putting these into production because of the requirement to weld two nuts to the bottom of the front K-Frame. There simply was no existing factory threads available to secure the rear of the skid plate to. I suppose as long as buyers are understanding of this slight complication, I would be glad to sell more plates.
I would be willing to do an initial group by, pricing would depend on interest. Typically, my skid plates retail for $299.00, and the optional Yellow tow loops are $39.00 if purchased with a plate ($49.00 separately), with custom colors available for an additional $10, and one week lead time."

so let me know who would all be interested in a group buy for a skid plate. also ive asked if he made Aero plates. ill get back to you guys on that when i get an answer.

here is some more info i was sent. its more on pricing. the more people interested the better discount.

" I am thinking 10% off if you get three people to buy, and 2% for each additional thereafter. So, 10% for three, 16% for six, etc. Maximum discount of 20%. Tow loops will be available for $39.00 if stock high vis yellow is chosen, $49.00 for custom colors. The loops are powder coated, so most any color is available, Red, Blue, Black, Green, etc. Discounts will not apply to tow loops, as they are already discounted 20% if purchased with a skid plate. I would like $150 deposits from each customer to secure the orders. Payment by paypal preferred. Once we are ready to go, it will take me 5-10 business days to ship orders.

I just realized I have no pictures of the finished product, as the final plate was installed on a car that wasn't at my shop. I'll contact the customer and see if he will send me some that I can forward along. Workin on It man haha it's har in my trade with no certification. I got an apointment at a school tomarrow to go through training for certifacation. I'll be doing that as long as they have financial aid haha

 

hey guys heads up about the aero plates, he would make one but he needs someone cars to make a template. is anyone interested in doing that? would be a nice addition to the RA if we could get skid and aero plates for under the car. ill find out where they are located and see if anyone would take one for the team and run over there.

I do not know if anyone is still interested, but I have the plate mentioned above. Ryan made it for my car. It works great. and installiation was very easy. I tested this plate at the 100 Acre Wood rally this past weekend and it is the best mod to date. It really gives piece of mind when blasting down a rally stage road.
