E-Brake Handles

Hey guys, it's been a long time since I was here last. I hope to be able to frequent the site more often now that my job doesn't have me travelling as much anymore. I have a quick question though...

I've been looking at a carbon fiber e-brake handle from Rexpeed that is made for CT9A Evos. I was curious if anyone knew whether or not this would fit our cars as well? Please see the link below for pics and more info:

http://rexpeed.net/new2007/product_d...php?serial=251

This may have already been covered, and if so I apologize. However, I did use the search option but I wasn't able to find any threads that confirmed whether or not our cars used the same handles as the Evos. Thanks everyone for any feedback.

Right on! That's exactly what I needed to know. Thanks for replying and for linking the guide. I'll give it a shot and see how it goes. I'll be buying it today and then I'll post my experience/problems with it in this thread.

I placed my order with Rexpeed on the 22nd and my order was on my doorstep yesterday. Talk about fast shipping! Anyhow, here is my review:

After reading the guide, I went out to the car to remove the e-brake handle. It was actually very easy to do. I sat in the driver's seat, lifted the handle into position so that it locked, and then with both hands I twisted it from side to side. I was a little bit leary of using too much force, but after a couple of minutes, I gave it a really good twist and then it came loose and it slid right off.

I slid the new handle into place. It comes with two allen screws as well as the wrench to go with it. Once it was in place, I put the screws in each hole on the sides and made them flush with the outside of the handle, then it was simply a matter of tightening them down.

Overall it was a very simple process that took a total of maybe 5-10 minutes and it looks really good once it's on there. I will see about getting a few pics up once I can get ahold of a camera.

Thanks again for the guide!

Nice , I'm jealous that yours came off so easily. Maybe twisting is key, I just pulled on mine. You should post up some pics of your whole car as well

you can't really "twist it" because the way its designed, but twisting it slightly will break the glue. I forgot how i took my ebrake handle off, i'm sure i just pulled that shat out. and I bought the MR cf ebrake handle for really cheap on ebay. I think the rexpeed one might be equally good. It changes the look of the interior by a lot IMO.
