Rev to 3500 rpm you can hear the motors sound change

plus if it wasn't working right you'd probably have a p1020 code

as mentioned try to listen while driving but it would be pretty hard,
or
look in the how to's and search for a mivec light thread, you prob dont need to go as far as installing something in the dash, but just something so you get an indication that is it engaging,
also
mivec does not engage when there is no enough oil pressure, so wait till engine is warmed up and you also have enough oil

what problem, i dont understand what your asking there

you needed to find if mivec was engaging, using a light would let you know, changing your oil should have no affect if you used the right type and amount

I think he's asking if its possible that his engine isnt making enough oil pressure to activate MIVEC at 3500rpm, and whether changing the oil could have had an effect.

+1, im curious, what brought up this question anyways? were you just not sure what mivec sounded like when it kicked in?
i mean, mivec dosnt throw into the back of your seat and things dont start to look like the fast and the furious when they hit the NoS button. lol
