exhaust leak

does an exhaust leak cause you to loose power? im having major power issues

more than likely a boost leak then if its killing your power. you need to do a boost leak test. search on here for test procedure.

His car isn't turbo'd so I think a boost leak is outta the question...

An exhaust leak would decrease performance but not to much. Any check engine light?have you checked your fluids? And or looked for any leaks?

no cel checked wich fluids? my oil is good and when i saw the hole in the exhaust it was leaking alittle fluid not alot and i took it to a shop today and they said my cat is starting to come apart and they saw no leaks out of the exhaust im not shur if you guys read my other post about my motor for those of you who did my engine is healthy tranny is good as well so the cat is what was making me think that i had rod knock so cheers.

glad to hear you didnt have rod knock man. you were still on the stock cat right and downpipe right?

You could have bad fuel, intake restrictions etc that could cause the ECU to retard timing and reduce your power.

lots of rattleing when i turn it on and when i go to take off it takes of slow....maybe no back pressure? i went under the car today and it has 2 holes in the exhaust where the cat was welded to got a quote for $140. $85 for the hi-flow cat i think it was vibrant if not it started with a v and the rest for labor i dont think thats bad
