DRAG RACE EVENTS 2011 (southern ontario)

Hey we should have a ralliart specific "Events" forum...anyways, here's the Shannonville schedule for this year, only 4 test and tune 1/4 mile events this year, but it would be cool if we could have a meet at the track...full schedule here...test and tune is open to all, it's usually like 20 bucks and you get at least 10 passes usually...not sure about lapping, i know they have Pay per Lap this year as well...check website for details...

(5:30pm to 11pm)

July 9, 2011Saturday Evening Test & Tune at SHANNONVILLE
(from 5:30pm to 11:00pm)

August 6, 2011Saturday evening test & tune at SHANNONVILLE
(5:30pm to 11:00pm)

You're in Gatineau, home of the 04-06 Ralliart reflash...we'll try to organize something so we can get as many RA's out as possible...i'll most likely be at all the test & tune events, but july or august will probably be the best time to go, for nice weather...

shannonville is between belleville and napanee...about 3 hours drive for you...we'll try to keep this thread alive so people can post whether or not they are coming, then the guys who live farther away can decided if they want to make the trip or not...i'm hoping for a good turn out, and lots of pictures...with ECU tuning available to us now, there should be more of us in the racing community...i'll be seeking low 13's by the end of the season...i'm going to try to get into the high 14's N/A...my best 1/4 mile is 15.6s

Agreed. I barely have any power mods (basically an intake and piggyback) and decent tires and I'm able to do a consistent 15.1.

That Pay-Per-Lap thing looks awesome! I've always wanted to race my car on a road course, I guess that would be the best time to do it!

Well, i'll tell you what...half the fun of the quarter mile is that it is the back straight of the course, so to get back to the staging lanes you gotta run a small portion of the circuit...

Hey all, obviously i won't be making it to the track this saturday the 7th of may, but just wanted to let you all know that May 21st in shannonville is lapping and quarter mile...so i'm going to do my best to make it out for that one if anyone is interested...the best thing to do is get a few laps in, then when the temperature drops later in the evening, hit the quarter mile...i'll post a reminder again the week before...cost is 25$ for the evening, helmets i believe are optional, but with hard cornering i would recommend...i'm seeking 14's in the 1/4...cheers

Not looking like I will be making it either the new charger is taking longer to get here than we anticipated but we will be ready for the July 9th meet.
