Dying Seats on RA?

There's been a few threads about evo guys dying their seats like this

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-my-seats.html

Has anyone done it in an RA? My seats are starting to show some wear and the reddish type colour in the middle isn't the greatest looking. Just wanted to see if anyone's has done it to our cars to see some pics.

the other threads have been updated over a couple years and it looks like it's fine. I'd like to paint them black and with the weather warming up now, I think i'll give it a go over the next week sometime.

If I had 04 or 05 seats I would deffinately do this on the middle insert. I wonder how it would work on our headliners?

I was going to wash my seats because it looks like whoever had the car before me either sharted on the seat or spilled coffee lol, but if washing doesn't work, I could try this!

hahahaha....yeah mine was a little threadbare on the driver's seat so it made it a little better just drove in it and it's been a couple hours since i sprayed them and it doesn't rub off at all. It does make them a little rougher but nothing too bad....hopefully that'll go away soon and i'm gonna rub a fabric softener sheet over them. I wouldn't do this if I had recaros or something, but on the stock seats, it's fine for the time being.

Wow, those seats look much better IMO. What does the fabric feel like now? Rough?

Yeah it's quite rough. I'll see if it loosens up much over the next week or so.

In my head, the fabric must feel like dried paint or spray painting a shirt, maybe?
