Wrong. High end calipers, such as alcon, and some brembos that are cast or milled from a solid piece of nickel alloy pretty much stay pretty forever. Thats right, get mad...

Didn't know such good jokes existed. To the OP, do yourself a favor, save your money. Whats the point in posing? Plus it looks extremely stupid

For caliper painting, assuming you want to match the color of the car, what's the best way of getting car-color matched paint for caliper use? By that I mean doesn't it need to be a special paint, or have a special coating, for high heat?

Can you use actual paint for your car instead of the paint that comes with that G2 kit? Then coat it?

VHT makes a variety of high heat coatings, they make certain kinds of spray bombs for engine enamel, header/exhaust coating, and brake calipers.

They have a coating that is called "Flameproof" which can take up to around something like 1500F

Their coatings need to cure though (bake) in order to set properly. Sometimes this can be achieved by going for a long drive or bagging the brakes etc.

Regular paint tends to flake off easily or eventually evaporate (seen that before on a non prepped civic header LOL). Not sure who makes or could prepare these specific coatings to match your paint code though..

I think I found what I'm looking for.

DH 1608 High Heat Red

It's a darker red that isn't quite so in-your-face. Even though that's high heat paint, though, do I need to apply a coating over it for protection from brake fluid or something?

Actually I found a better color from the brand you recommended. Just didn't see it on their website.
