high rpms bad mileage?
I'm getting terrible mileage that's all I know. 400km to a tank taking it easy on the throttle. 275km/tank when my foots on it. Maybe it's time to throw the long tube of my CAI back on so i can get 550 600km again??? Was like that in the winter to until i took the long tube off then I was getting little warmer air into the motor not -60C going in.

and I didn't really notice a mpg change from cai to Sri either ...
I recently went on a 2700km road trip and on my way home, I got 600km on one tank of premium gas. That was about 90% of the time in 5th gear on the highway the entire time. 120-140km/h most of the time.
Our car is loud at 3500 rpms but when it hits 4000 it seems to quiet down? This the same for you dudes as well? I noticed it's loud going 120km/h but much quieter at 140km/h.

Wicked car to bomb around in. I just spent a couple hours driving around for no reason other then to drive :P

yeah thats when i shift ... 5h gear going about 55 60 km/h

I was driving around last night looking for other lancers but alas, I didn't see a single one untill I came back into my own neighborhood and I saw a parked silver oz-rally with an evo wing that looked like it was just bought from an auction :P writing all over the windows and a day permit.
Hey I found alittle tread on the web I didn't know where else to go in here so I decided to post here, I'm basically gonna try it out n see on my next oil change om gonna add synthetic additive to my snythetic oil hopefully there's a nice difference.
When getting your oil changed, use a synthetic oil additive to either natural or synthetic oil. This can increase your gas mileage by up to 15% if you follow the manufacturer's instructions and recommended usage. (It seems unlikely to one author at least that synthetic-oil "additive" would cause a car to work much less hard; it would not make the oil overall much less viscous, and circulating the oil is only a relatively small task for a car engine.)

To save yourself some more money you don't even need premium in the car if its all stock...
I've noticed a slight increase in gas mileage comparing 87 to 94 plus it's a cleaner gas, so to me the extra $10 a full tank is worth it
I'm sure I don't 'need' it but I definitely want it :P
the factory map isn't even tuned for 94, it's not really cleaner, octane is more the compressability rating of the fuel, and our engines don't need high octane fuel, cause the engine is not a high compression engine. When you start modifying your AFR, increasing compression, or running boost then you may need to change your ignition timing and increase octane to prevent knock.
