Shannonville Motorsport Park (Ontario)
I'm sure Cranswick will be reporting on the $25 Shannonville outing we had yesterday, so I'll just say: hours of time on both roadrace and dragstrip (as much as you can stand), drove Cranswicks turbo on the track, got a ride in the wild Talon that Crans has mentioned before, no mechanical issues for anyone, and I love driving my Ralliart more than ever since it is so controllable and won't bite me at the edge.
Lots of fun stuff. Two hippies skidded their ancient dented snow-tired Chrysler minivan around the track, launching a serious time attack making every last tenth of a second count; I guess they were practising getting away from the cops. An original Austin Mini with very small but wide go-kart slicks sticking out of the wheel wells smoked a late model Mustang in the 1/4 mile... ha ha, not so tough now, eh Bubba? And the guy with the monster Viper recouped some of his $150,000 investment by convincing the girl who was hanging around the pit area all evening to get into his car for some "hot" laps... whoa.

Nick, i have a video of a lap in your car, hope you don't mind if i post it...
Here is an example of skill, experience and finesse...
Here is an example of cornering mostly wide open throttle in an LSD equipped, turbocharged FWD Lancer, general abuse, and basically just plowing through the course. No finesse here

Xmaster I will be planning a trip to Shannonville this summer and we can all go down as one group. I will talk to Crans to find a date that is cool.
I will be on Toronto from the 14 to the 17 working with a few shops so thats why I wont make it.
FYI I am also on NCMC.

Tomorrow (Monday) evening is lapping the long track, I'm going. Cranswick has influenced me again so I ordered a GoPro camera but it's not in yet (maybe tomorrow) and I want to play with it so if we do a track get-together later in the summer everyone can use it to make some nice video memories to take away.
p.s. I see Mosport has lapping days too, more expensive but do-able, maybe we can try that sometime, closer for the Toronto guys.
