My Ralliart Resurrection...

So last June while I was making a trip between Maryland and Indiana my timing belt decided to fail... My fault really because I knew I was past the scheduled maintenance interval but I took the chance anyway. Well, due to being in between jobs for a while and moving half way across the country when it happened, I was completely out of funds to get my RA back on the road.
I had another vehicle to use as a DD, so I figured if I'm going to pull the head off to see what damage had been done I might as well do a little modding before putting it all back together. So during time that my RA has been off the road i had a few things done to it that hopefully will make the time I've been without it worthwhile...
Here's the list of goodies that I've got:

Ported Intake Manifold done by BES Racing Engines

Ported Cylinder head from a local shop called JT Performance
(Haven't got the head back yet... pics to come)
Delta Camshaft
(Forgot to take any pics of the cam before giving it to the shop to assemble with the head...)
GT Fabrications IM and TB thermal spacers

I've also got some new toys for when I'm responding to calls as a volunteer Firefighter/EMT:

Extreme Tactical Dynamics LED Stealth visor bar (Blue/Blue) with LED takedowns

Presteige Emergency Lights Oktag 8 head LED deck light

8 Head strobe unit

100 Watt Siren and Speaker

Here's a couple pics of the switch panel I made to run them all off of:

Those are just generic pics for the lights and stuff... But more pics and info to come on the assembly and my impressions of the performance mods. I can't freakin wait... it's been too long.

Dude that's sweet... definately making up for lost time

I love that you have a license to speed :P Can't say I've seen a R/A burnin down the road with lights and a siren, that'd be a wicked sight.

I guess he has the regular (no 6 cd changer) cd-player. The place he used for his switches is mostly useless, some kind of storage. The only thing I figured I could put in there were spare sunglasses. Anything else will just fall under acceleration of any kind.

I'm at around 90 000miles, still haven't done timing belt. It's on the to-do list in the next few days, maybe few weeks top. God these posts scare the sh*t out of me!!! My car is getting in the garage tomorrow for other repairs, I might get that checked as well at the same time!

To OP : Sucks that you had to live it the hard way. The upside is you will get to enjoy your ride even more now! Any hp expectations? Also, videos when done would be cool!

Just realized timing belt is due at 105 000 miles. I'll still get it done none the less *just in case*.

Well I think it's supposed to be done at around 60,000 miles and I was about 20,000 over that... word to the wise though, never go off of what you can see of the timing belt. because upon visual inspection the belt looked fine. it was the teeth that stripped off of it.

I have the sun & sound package on my car, but it doesn't have the disc changer. I purchased a radio relocation piece from RRM for the switch panel. Here's a comparison of the original cubby piece and the one from RRM:

Here's a video of the lights installed in a rental I had when they came in:

And another of the siren temporarily connected in the same vehicle:
