Washer Fluid Pump

So I did search. However there hasnt been answer.

My washer fluid stopped pumping through the nozzles last night. I figured it was just a frozen line because as soon as it hit the windshield last night it instantly froze. However after letting the engine run for a bit i figured that the engine heat would unfreeze it. So now I'm thinking that either my pump has failed or a fuse is blown. I dont think I hear the pump working when trying it out.

I looked in the manual and all I could find was a fuse on the interior that was related to the windshield washers however I believe thats only for moving the wipers and not the sprayer as the wipers still move there's just no fluid coming out.

Has anyone else had an issue like this that would be able to help me out?

been there recently...have you disconnected the lines at all? i did when i swapped hoods, and found out there is a directional check valve in one of the couplers...if not the then does the variable speed work for the wipers? the fuse for wipers and washer motor is number 7 under the steering wheel, that feeds the wiper speed control and the washer motor through the front ECU. there's a few other things, like the column switch, and the column ECU where it gets kinda confusing in the schematic...i thought i remember seeing two fuses for "windshield related". double check over both fuse boxes and check for blown fuses.

MB286961 for the washer motor...it's on the outer right side of the washer reservoir on the very bottom. if you take you splash guards off, you should be able to get it off from underneath...

Cool thanks man I'll check that out. I haven't tried the variable speed thing yet. I never disconnected the lines ever except when swapping nozzles but that's about it which was like over a year ago.

So I don't know what it was but after playing around with the switches it started randomly working again. I know the pump wasnt working before because I disconnected the hose on the passenger side and tried to see if anything came out and no luck. But yeah strangely enough it came on again.

I remember my RA having similar problems. One of the nozzles would work off and on. I just assumed it was because of the stinkly **** washer fluid problem I had.

Ive got a related problem.

I can hear the motor trying to work but still no fluid is coming out. The back wipers work fine, its just the front that arent spraying.

line could be a kinked hose, or the nozzle is plugged...the first hose coming out of the fender, pull it off the connector and see if you can get it to squirt if it does, you know the problem is downstream...
