SPDI Plasma Discharge Ignition
i'm selling my impreza, but i would run my lancer in 2wd if i didn't need a cage...i'm using a stock mitsu turbo, so the compressor inlet should be within regulation, but my car might not even have a class, generally you build a car for a class, not build a car however you feel like for what you have available, and then try to fit into a class...
With any new product it sometimes takes a bit of testing. We have had this system on a 4g69 Eclipse now for a few months and all is well. You can really feel the power gains and fuel economy is up (USA more MPG) and down (Canada L/100kms). Individual kits are available.
We will have one Major US Supplier that will be carrying this system as they too have been testing it and are very pleased with the results.

When we tested on your car (before the turbo) it did not far so well but we learned from that. It was the same as the Lotus, could not figure out why? then after more Lotus testing it came to me...Leaner mixture longer spark duration and lower power was needed. By increasing the the over all duration we finally started to feel the gains in the Lotus. I have recently tested this on a local RA (Hackish tuned) with the same results with the Lotus (started to really feel power gains using a longer duration). What I think was happening with your car and the earlier tests with the Lotus, with leaner mixtures and more spark power the mixture was simply just a "flash" rather than creating the cylinder pressure need to make more power.
My car is the Evo IX guinea pig metioned here. I just got my EF2 installed last week and I'm now starting to retune it. Once that's done we'll be able to really work on the spark and do some comparisons vs stock ignition.

There is a base kt for the 4g69. I now have this on my turbo lancer and when I am not abusing it my liters per 100 is down by 2.5 (thats more MPG) the car is so much more responsive.
Here is a link, this will show how the spark is different:

Thats pretty awesome! Its really cool to see the different sparks side by side like that. How much does that system cost? And how difficult is it to dial in for the 4g69 system?
New pricing is on the way. Dialing it in can be a bit intimidating but there is a process and I will be there every step of the way.
