RA fender brace?
I like the " X " bar idea too , I found this in as a possible solution. It's more track based and less on looks , the best part is you can buy the parts to make it at your local hardware store for around 30 bucks

That is actually a really interesting idea. I was thinking about ordering the RRM rear strut bar but that might be an interesting option to look into. The idea of the X-bar type setup does seem like it would be more practical than just a bar. Plus it would stiffen the entire rear end and not just the struts.

lanzeralliart, totally good idea to start a braces thread to keep all these ideas together in one spot. It seems to be morphing into a hot topic. I know the bug has bit me for some reason. We have a clever membership, lets see what happens.
That is an interesting idea from the Subie forum. I remember a bicycle frame that had wire like that for the down-tube instead of solid bar. Wires are for pure tension (pulling) loads only, of course.
