Need Advice Please

I need opinions on this.

I recently purchased a 2004 Lancer Ralliart from a renowned dealership in my area.
Everything with the car works perfect.
I test drove the vehicle around side streets, highway, and local roads and still found nothing wrong.
It wasn't making any noises, no shaking, no thumps, no rust spots, the engine sounded nice, nothing was wrong with it.

The ONE thing that bothers me though is that there was an accident on it less than a year after it was purchased by the original owner.
In 2005, this vehicle got into an accident on the front-right side.
The amount claimed was $11,000.
I still decided to purchase the vehicle because everything is immaculate.

Did I make the right decision?
All I was thinking of was that if the car got into an accident in 2005 and it is now 2012 and the car currently has 210,000km on it, what could go wrong?

Please let me know your thoughts.

I also got a 3-year "Powertrain Silver Plus" warranty with it and the total cost including all taxes and fees was $5000.

This is my first car and I LOVE Lancers.
My grandfather bought a 1989 Lancer when I was born and he still drives it until today.

Please help.

Thank you so much!

FYI, the warranty covers almost everything: engine, transmission, head gasket, ulmtd kms, etc.

Thanks for your help guys!

Cheers!

for $5k, it's not that bad...but you probably could have low balled them a little bit, especially with the accident and the mileage...do the engine and chassis VINs match? Where you provided service history? like timing belt etc?

i tried low balling him but there were other people on the lot that were looking at the car so i just bought it before someone else could've gotten their hands on it
the VINs all match up and the servicing was done on time for both oil and belt.
i don't really know much about cars but when i saw this car, i WANTED it so bad!
for the price, i guess it's a GREAT investment in the long run.....right? :P
thanks for the reply!
i've been waiting for someone to say something in regards to my inquiry lol.

i over paid slightly for mine, and the timing belt failed only 30,000km after i bought it, and the timing belt should have been done already, but i didn't verify the service history, and i bought it more for necessity than want, but i sure did want it, so that cost me another $1,000...oh well, live and learn...at least i can tear the engine down myself

enjoy the car, don't stress, it's just money...

You're right man! It's just money. It comes and goes! At least this time, our money went to something worth it

I can't wait to start working on this car and wish I could tear down engines like you lol. This is a perfect example of a time when I wish I paid more attention and interest in my high school AUTO SHOP class

When I start tuning this bad boy, I will give you a shout for sure!

Thanks so much bro!

It's been years and several thousand kilometers since the accident, just drive the car, it will put a grin on your face every time.
Welcome to the club.

for aftermarket we really do have everything we need...springs/coilovers, sway bars and strut bars...brakes, and turbo kits (now we have a few choices), body kits, styling...are we complaining that no one makes ITB's for a 4G69...i don't get it...
