i had a friend do that and the result wasn't pretty....he wrecked his taurus on the test drive after...it wasnt totalled but he did have to end up getting rid of the car...(he didn't wanna drive a crashed car..so he just traded it in for sumn else...he didnt need to tho...later we bled the brakes and it drove ok after tho)
i thought that goes without saying...guess not

he wasnt very car saavy(and stil isnt)...but @ least now he knows to bleed the brakes after he opens the system..lol

Holy crap! That's scary... I always fear that I didn't torque the lugs or left a bolt out when I do work, then I go all OCD on the car... I take it all apart again and put it back together...

just make sure you DO torque the lugnuts...make sure ur actually done w the job before u drive off...or it may just suck down the road when sumn falls off or u crash or sumn...

ive seen cars on the freway 2wice now where they were driving normally, and then one wheel just flies off and zips right past them and all of the sudden they loose control...luckily both times they didin't crash and there were few cars on the road so they pulled over w/ no major issues the best they could...
and im assuming called a tow truck ...

ive had it one time where i started driving off and wondered what the heck that new clunking noise was...then i realized i didnt tighten 1 wheel and the lugnuts were only on a few threads...luckily nothing got damaged...

lol, i always double check before i go for a ride, but i double check each thing, so i don't have to remove anything to do my double check...

^thats the way to do it...double check each thing as you do it..

then u dont have to take it apart or lift it again to double check things
