What are these bolts, and should I be concerned...
I am wondering what these bolts are for and what might cause them to back out?
TIA
Pictured is the rear suspension. The bolts go into the rear floor pan or prehaps the suspension mount area, I'm unsure.

The model was getting cranky, but I managed to get a few more pictures before she called her agent...

Now with these pics I got a better look, they don't look suspension related. I would still like to figure out what they are for, I am taking the rear apart tomorrow, that might shed some light on the subject.

Hint: Where is your rear anti sway bar ?
Those bolts hold it used to hold it rather to the body. You should see similar holes on the right side too.
Then in the bottom arms, near to where the bottom of the shock mounts, there are holes or should be holes for the links that connect the anti sway bar to the suspension.
Not the end of the world that it 's not there but as you have on Teins, I suspect handling matters to you so get that bar connected, well find it first.

Thank you!
The perils of buying a used car...I guess I'm on the hunt for a anti-sway bar. Why the fudge would someone remove it? Buggers!
Any after market suggestions?
Progress from RRM?

That's exactly what you are seeing in the picture sir.
Progress from RRM, mounts and all.
If you just want a stock bar and perches pm me, but you have Teins, Progress would be the way to go.

Nothing but a money pit this car!
No the anti sway bar will not impact your suspension geometry, it just does a fantastic job of restricting body roll, enhancing turn in and general cornering and making the driver feel good.
The strut brace should just be keeping the top in place, not pulling, just reinforcing so that the chassis cannot flex and the suspension can do its job.

Think of it this way, when it comes to money, apart from spending it,what else is it good for ? I bet it tastes awful !!!
