Sad to see another member go, we are a rare breed indeed. Hopefully when you come back you get a nice RA or Evo

I can't believe our cars are going for so little!! I just saw a white one on a lot for 10K, must have low mileage or something.

ive tried selling my RA a few times now...but honestly i just can't face to sell it for what ive been offered...

one time i was about to sign on trading it for a 5speed 08 vw rabbit(already was lowered, tinted windows and had a/m wheels, among a few other things)....but i just refused to accept that they wouldn't even pay off my car (worth ~$3k according to them....even tho i still had just over ~$4 left to pay on it)....they'd only offer me $2500...i did talk them up to $2700 tho, after about an hour of talking...)...and that's the highest ever ive been offered for it...

it does suck that it's worth so little but o well...thats just how it is...
specially here near detroit where EVERYBODY and their mom's wants ONLY a "american" car...and most likely a suv/truck actually, and almost nobody can drive a stick anymore...so a import, stick shift, compact car has no place in this market apparently....

Yea I hear that, some girl just asked me about it, see how it goes -_- I can't stomach letting it go, but it's the only thing of a higher monetary value that could help me out., in the slightest. Nobody knows of it eas well making it harder to sell -_-

Sad to see you go bro...

Just looked up the KBB value of our cars. The 5-speed is valued around $300 less than the auto. How much are you wanting to sell it for Mark? And if orange county wasn't a 13 hour drive away Id think about buying it. I really want a 5-speed version...

I'm asking 5.5 but realistically was thinking of getting 4.5 - 4.3k. Unfortunately lol. And yea man five speed is awesome, first time driving a stick vehicle. I'll miss it insanely

Sad to see you go! Good luck! I would buy a pos car for less than $1000 and save up tons of money. Then when the time is right come back strong with a boosted RA or an Evo.

you could sell yourself..or a kidney at least, and keep the car...lol...nah jk...i do not condone black market body part sales...yet...(till I have to sell mine or i can't survive, at least i have 2 bikes, 1 other car, and a 52" 3-d hdtv to sell first tho..lol)
...its a great car...sorry for ya

im still tempted to try and sell it sometimes...but it needs so much work too....grr...
it drives fine but so many minor issues...well one's soon gonna be major...hope it lasts till tax time(tob+clutch/trans rebuild)...*crosses fingers*
i bet if i try to sell it or trade it now i'd get like $2000 or so....lol...(last time i tried was 1.5-2 yrs ago..when i got offered $2700 for trade in)

Maybe I am weird! but I have never been tempted to sell mine. I love mine every day I get in it and drive it reminds me why I picked up a RA. But I have been lucky to not have any major issues. "Cross my fingers"

Wow. How many miles are on your RA's that are only worth $3-$4K. I have a firm offer on mine for $8,500 for an 04 with 64k miles. Mind you that is private party and not a dealer. Given it is probably the cleanest RA in Utah but still, you can't buy any half decent car here for $3,000.

well when ni originally got mine...i was just looking for A car...i saw it...it was $5k....so i test drove it...(then test drove the built sti next to it for the hell of it)...then i talked them down to ~$4300...(basically just enough so it was $5k and free gap insurance)...and then i bought it for $5k(plus taxes, title etc...)...i think it ended up being ~$7k or so(3 yrs ago)...i still owe just under $2k rt now...

i started driving the car and honestly loved it right away but it needs this and that....and of course i come here and wanna sell a kidney to fix it up and build it up..but i can't...nor can i afford to normally)...the car honestly to DD isnt that expensive...specially since i do all the repairs myself...but gas mileage isnt the greatest when i floor it 23/7(yea i know...i sleep one hour a day...lol)...also all the noises annoy me so i gotta fix this n that and get tires, and struts and timing belt stuff....ive probably put in over $4k into it(tierods, struts, t-belt stuff, more tires, brakes, etc)...just to make it normal...and still need more work...and thats w/ free labor, just parts(online pricing...so far approx. half dealer pricing i'd say..if not less)

the only reason ive thought about selling the car is because i cant stomach having to repair it constantly....being that its a DD and not ever been to the track...if it was a racecar or mostly track sometimes street then i'd be fine...but i think it's honestly an expensive DD(maybe it's just me tho...since im a mechanic and i wanna bring it back to oe condition)..i love the car and would hate to sell it...but i wanna get sumn thats not making 4 noises at once...and i fix 1 or 2...and theres another new 1 or 2 noises that pop up
