i was parked at my friend's condo and some dumbass hit my car while on his/her way out of the parking spot. i left a lot of space for him/her to get out and i still get hit. didn't leave anything. just hit and run...

i'll post up some pictures of the damage later on. i just need to cool off. i got my rear driver side lip and bumper held together by a zip tie so it doesn't go all flimsy on the highway.

i'm so devastated because you all know that i love my RA so much

i cleaned it up a bit so it doesn't look as bad but bottom line is my rear lip and bumper is still busted...

but sorry to hear about your car man. when some lady rear ended me one time i almost flipped out on her so i know how it feels :/

 

That really blows man! ******** people that can't own up to mistakes drive me insane!!! Makes me wish we lived back in medieval times. Back then if someone hit your shyt, you could kill their *****.

i dont think i can claim it bc i have a one-way policy. i gotta get that checked out and talk to my insurance provider to see what they can do for me.

HTA states:
HTA OREG 611 Vehicle Safety Inspections
Schedule 1
1. (1) The body, sheet metal and equipment shall be inspected and tested for conditions hazardous to occupants, pedestrians or vehicles and,
(a) no bumper, fender or mudguard shall have been removed;
(b) each bumper shall be securely mounted;
(d) no bumper, fender, molding or other part shall have a broken, bent or sharp edge that protrudes in such a way as to constitute a hazard to persons or vehicles;

Repercussions would be a ticket and fine. One might get lucky with a warning to get it fixed if they have a good story for why they are driving without one.

 

damn! thanks for the heads up man! i was just gonna pull out the lip tho not the whole bumper so idk if that counts :P nothings protruding but it just looks nasty/ugly/i dont like it lol

 

if u take just the lip off, itll look like a lancer es(same bumper, minus the lip + mounting points)

Your going to have all of the holes where it normally would mount, around 12 exposed. There might be a slight color difference based on it being covered up, and finally there might be some scratching where the lip and bumper met. Tackle it and let us know , post up some pics before and after too
