Does anyone know if you can grease the bushings on the progress rear sway bar without disconnecting the end links? Also what grease is best? I have searched for automotive silicone grease but found no results. Is dielectric grease the same? Thanks

it's the same stuff...(if you're talking about the clear/whitish stuff, not the colored petroleum based stuff)

im not 100% on how to grease the progress bar as i don't have one, but if you're trying to grease the bushings to the frame you'll likely need to remove the bracket and remove the bushing, grease and reinstall...

as for the end links, if it's the balljoint style, if they don't have a grease fitting there's a needle fitting they sell for grease guns, but i wouldn't suggest it, as you just made a hole in the boot to grease the joint, but now u also have the same hole for grease to escape and dirt to get in...

if it's the bolt style, u'll most likely have to remove it and grease all the bushings separately, and reinstall it...or u could possibly get away with having somebody bounce the car hard as you spray it with some kind of lube(silicone spray, wd-40, or something of the sort) and hopefully it works itself in enough to stop any squeaking, but it's probably best to disassemble and lube IMHO

You dont have to disconnect the end links.

You can slacken the brackets where the bushings are, then poke grease in with a small screwdriver or similar object, or spray them with silicone or lithium grease or what ever you have handy.

For the links I just spray them.

I just finished removing the bushings and brackets. I took then completely off, cleaned everything, greased, and reassembled. The squeak is no more. I'm just glad it wasn't my control arms. $3 for grease us better than $300. Thanks for the help everyone.

yea full disassembly is the best way to do it IMO...there's it less risk of having it come back
but like 2006_RA said spray lube can work...but IMO it has more risk to have the noise come back because it could not be fully lubed...or it could be gone permanently like the other way...

but anyway good thing it's gone...
i know how annoying squeaks are...SUPER annoying
