stereo head unit stopped working

i've had my stereo head unit out of my dash for a few weeks now as it has stopped working. the power is on (red light shows power is running through the unit) but it does not power up/turn on. i've been trying to figure this all out by myself and i think i know what the problem is: the 12-volt wire. i don't know how to test this theory though. i have never touched any of the electrical aspects of my RA and i don't want to short-circuit anything.

please help.

thanks guys!

that's what i was thinking as well. i was even considering getting a stock head unit and just slapping it on. but then the previous owner messed so much with the wiring that i don't even wanna attempt to play with any of it

we'll see what we can do when the time comes.

Exclamation

so i took another look at my stereo wiring and it's such a big mess.
everything is held on by electric tape and some of it is coming off.
i tried reconnecting my fuses and following all the wiring but to no avail.
i'm really stumped on this one.
i really need some help
