Electrical Issue

So, about a month or two ago I had an issue with my alternator. Battery drains every week or 2, losing power as I drive, etc. Replaced the alternator and have a brand new battery, as I said for about a month. Just today, as I was driving into work, all of my electronics start flickering on and off, rapidly. The car isn't losing power by this, just the electrical flickering. However, when I park the car and turn the engine off, I lose everything. Like a dead battery, but I get nothing at all when turning the ignition. No sounds, no lights, car alarm doesn't work, etc.

I manually locked my doors and let it sit for about 4 hours and come back and everything is working again. One time this happened before and I gave the door a good slam and the lights came back on and I could start my car. I was thinking it was maybe a blown fuse, but after looking into that, a blown fuse wouldn't affect the entire system, would it?

If anyone has any suggestions or has run into this problem, by all means, I need some help. Don't want to take it to the shop if I don't have to.

make sure your battery terminals are tight.

+1. If so, check all grounding points.

Did you ever solve, or figure out what the issue was?

Definitely this! My positive terminal came loose gave me all the same symptoms you are experiencing, also check the ground from the battery terminal to the connection.

Or the new alternator is a badly rebuilt one. Had that happen.

The dash lighting up like a Christmas Tree (oops, I meant "Tree of Joy" so I don't offend), the power waning to nothing as the car is driven, and the battery recovering after resting awhile all points to a bad alternator.
