Suspension Time!

Alright so now my suspension is starting to give out. I decided I wanna go with the Tein Basic Coilovers. I looked around and this is the cheapest I have found them for : 900$ + 50$ of shipping

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/TEIN-BASIC-DA...d4752d&vxp=mtr

Can anyone confirm that this is the right part and if it is in fact the cheapest on the market?

Thanks guys

wrong section man.

anyway do you have any local tuner shops to you? i'd give them a call and see what prices they can give you. they usually get deals from suppliers for carrying their products.

You're better off buying local where shipping won't be charged.

$50 shipping is pretty decent, if you don't have any tuner shops around, like where I live, then just go for em. Gonna look sweet

Thanks for confirming the part number! Now I just have to get around to ordering it and hope the install goes good and nothing is seized.

have had the suspension apart since you've owned the car? your end links will be the weakeast link. the main strut bolts are huge, if seized they at least should not shear or break. first post from mobile

No the suspension has never been touched :P. So this is what im getting with the kit:

4 springs, 4 shocks, 4 lower spring seats, 4 seat locks, 4 thrust washer, 4 bump rubber, 4 dust cover, 2 hook spanner

Is there anything else you can think of that would probably need changing while im doing this. I hear a clicking in the back when I go over bumps probably the end links so im thinking of mabey getting the whiteline swaybar alot of good reviews including yours after being so skeptical lol. honored to receive ur first mobile post

the upper mounts should be inspected, you'll see if they're worn when you remove the strut assembly, but if you're buying all new, then you might as well, but i thought coilovers came with the top mounts.

not the tein basics. you're supposed to swap out your old top mounts with them.

nope. thats only the upper models. the tein basics only allow ride height adjustability.

Would I be better of just getting the KYB struts and the Tein S techs instead? Comes out to the same thing for cheaper no?

for the price you'd pay for the basics, i'd suggest looking into megan coilovers or bc racing's. they're all about the same price range but at least with those 2 options you have the options of dampener/camber adjustments
