Question CCFL R8 Look Headlights

Hi there, I'm new to the site and was wondering if anyone has heard or seen these headlights for sale on eBay. They are double halo with an Audi LED strip.

The link is http://www.ebay.com/itm/120864399127

They are priced at about $660 and i don't know much about them. I have asked the seller a few questions but still not sure about the quality or anything. Does anyone have any experience with them? Also would they be legal to have in the US?? Or better yet Texas?

They look nice but at that price they are more than 3 times the price of regular halos What is it about them that makes you think they are illegal in the US/Texas ?

find a custom lighting shop. My buddy has a motorcycle shop here in the Bay and he does custom lighting for cars and bikes. Halo's, LED strips, etc etc and he does it tastefully.

I'm sure there is something out there in TX. It's also a lot cheaper.

I have asked the seller questions and all he has told me was that they aren't regular Halos but CCFL Angels eyes and made in Taiwan. The price was firm to, no wiggle room at all. I think they might not be street legal because on a lot if the stock and the other aftermarket headlights I've seen they have the amber reflectors on the side of the lights and the turn indicator at the very front. These don't have the reflectors instead the turn indicator is on the side. Idk if you would need the amber reflectors

those amber "reflectors" are actually lights..lol

i'm not really a fan of those lights, they look kinda cheesy and the fact that they're $600, i couldn't imagine spending that on headlights when you could improve handling greatly for the same cost...

I found these a while back and posted about them as a joke cause they are way too expensive. I think bdon's suggestions is a better bet...just think if you get those $600 lights and there is a defect...

EDIT: I wouldn't believe the "8 sold <----" part in the add either... pretty unlikely. Probably "bought" them from their our auction to look like they're selling.

$600 for headlights? **** that. IMO, the "Halos" and "Angel Eyes" are fugly. I love the simplicity of the OEM headlights. My only complaint was no HIDs.

OP, as mentioned above, that money could be better spent elsewhere on your RA.

That's what I was worried about and true that money can go else where in the car.
