Ok i know there have been about 3 threads already about headlights and such... but i can't decide on which pair i want, so i figure i'll get a few impartial opinions.

I found these on ebay, they're a great value for the price seeing as how they come with the 8000k HIDs that i would eventually put in any projectors i get... but also and equally its ebay so the quality and such is questionable. especially since i don't use ebay that much. has anyone seen or purchased this kit before?

then of course there are the depoautolights that i found because of these forums lol. the biggest difference between the two (aside from the fact that the ebay ones come with HIDs already) is that the depo lights are dual-projectors, so i would be able to have HID high and low beams without any issue.

on the other hand not only are the depos more expensive but from what i hear they're not very supportive with installation instructions and you have to wire them yourself--which wouldn't be a problem for me but would be an inconvienience.

I'm already leaning towards the ebay ones... but what are your opinions?

 

I think the ebay ones are pretty sick in my opinion, Id do those!

 

i got my jdm cedia's off ebay and they rock.... btw the quality of work on them are very good..

I would get the ebay ones. Wait, I am getting the ebay ones with that kit, hopefully. I don't like the halo looking ones because the one person on this board had the halo come unglued. Dual projecters isn't a good idea. Good for low beam, but I think the high beam won't work out so well. The ebay ones, they look very similar to evo headlights. Go with them.

 

Well it looks like the ebay projectors are it. especially since my dad says he has a check for me for $500! Woot! hahaha... i've been wanting projector headlights for sooo long... and HIDs for even longer.

I think i'm also gonna look for some projector fogs...aftermarket tho. I've looked around but so far i haven't been able to find anywhere that sells the factory OE fog lights. but i really only want those because they'll mount up to the stock bumper. heh.

 

The ebay ones look cheesy to me. The 3 strips of light on the corner makw them look cheap. The "depo" lights look oem and clean. My .02

 

I got the chrome Depo ones from eBay and just recently painted them flat black.
You can't see the 3 lines in the side.

How come you didn't buy them black? Or did you get them when black wasn't offered.

As for the fog light issue. They didn't make fog lights for the 02-03 lancer in the U.S. These might work http://www.japanparts.com/db/partsli...volkey=&page=2 there are near the bottom. HID isn't recommended for fog lights. At least thats what I"m told. You could alter the projectors turn signal to work like a fog light like on the evo.

 

I didn't like the black ones because you can clearly see the 3 lines, the turn signal is all chromed out, and the amber part is too bright.
So I just saved $50 and made them how I wanted.

it's well worth it. that's just my two cents... not exactly impartial lol, but a

Question, would it be possible to put in a cover over the turn signal, the one close to the grill, kind of like whats on the stock headlights?

I kinda like the way both look in each of their respective ways but my goal isn't to make it look like an evo, but rather something unique (yes that's kind of an oxymoron considering more and more people are getting these depo lights lol). but still.

Juan, thanks for the link but when i click on the currency converter it says they want $360 USD for ONE fog light... yeah... not interested in paying that lol. but yeah any reason they say why HID isn't recommended for fogs?

Thanks OZ Rally, i was hoping someone had them already so i could see what they actually look like on the car... it does remind me of the evo headlights... i'm not sure if i like that or not.

ultimately those ebay lights are the best value... HIDs AND projector housing? ugh... freakin economy...
